New York Fashion Week has set my heels on fire, so it was wonderful to change my pace and slow down a bit to take in some pretty unique art by a person whom I love since I was 20!
Rosie has been someone I admired since I was in college. Her non BS demeanor, witty comments, and bold on stage personality was always an inspiration to this shy introvert. It was amazing to meet her in person and to see her art at Dejavu Boutique and Art Gallery in the upper east side.
Rosie and I in front of my favorite painting.
"I started painting after 9/11 when my soul was shaken by the terrifying events of that day" Rosie said.
This sweet thing was giving our the programs and greeting everyone with a smile.
This was the program for the evening, listing all of Rosie's work.
Rosie spoke to all her supporters at the show.
Here is Kai, the owner of Dejavu boutique and gallery, and the "muscle".
Loved her! She was Rosie's right hand!

The wonderful thing is that all proceeds from the sale of Rosie's artwork benefit Rosie's Theater Kids Foundation. She contributes to many charities and non profit organizations. Did I say I love her for it? I love her for it.
Her friends and fans, as well as very alert security detail were all incredibly friendly and personable. I enjoyed meeting them, and certainly hope that I can see her and speak more about her inspirations at some point in the near future.
She was personable, sweet, and "real" and I will continue to admire her and follow her artistic journey.
To view her collection please visit Dejavu boutique and gallery, where you can also purchase any of our scarves! I want to thank Kai for inviting me, and for his continued kindness.
What do you guys think of her work? Do you love the colors and the messages of her paintings?
